WELCOME
WHO AM I?
VALUES IMPORTANT TO ME (2025 edition)
Clarity: I value seeing things as they are, not clouded by assumptions.
Steadiness: I value being a source of steady calm, showing up consistently, even when things feel chaotic.
Wisdom: I value building bridges across disciplines of study, in service of transformation and expansion.
Beginner’s Mind: I value fluidity, and guarding against self-righteousness, judgments, and assumptions about how much I know.
Devotion and Surrender: I value honoring each moment and person with a prayerful bow and my full attention. I value reality as it is, showing up fully for the process, and letting go of the outcome.
A FEW FUN FACTS
I've lived in Kenya, Abu Dhabi, Portugal, and India. In the US where I've been for the past 10+ years, I've been a resident of Texas, Ohio, Illinois, Mississippi, and Missouri.
I am inspired by Buddhist philosophy.
I enjoy exploring different styles of movement (e.g., Kathak, an Indian Classical dance form) and crafts (e.g. stitching).
I'm a fan of dialectical thinking, Urdu poetry, poetry as its dissected by Pádraig Ó Tuama, audiobooks by Pema Chödrön, as well as novels and shows of the fantasy/sci-fi genre (e.g., Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Expanse). My not-as-often-shared favorite author is Fyodor Dostoevsky, for his ability to plunge into the depths of our humanness with a level of nuance that takes my breath away (Crime and Punishment remains one of my favorite books)!
